Welcome! I am Debra Hatfield the St. Joan Music Teacher. I am privileged to be starting my 3rd year at St. Joan. We have grown our program to include choir , band, music technology and drama. Each year music, art, social studies and Spanish combine to put on a wonderful cultural arts show in May. Last year was Africa . This year it is Central America.

I received my BM in Ed and my MM in voice and music history from Butler University and my Post Graduate Degree from CCM at University of Cincinnati. While doing perfoming in Graz Austria , I received a Certificate of Vocal Studies from AIMS. I taught college for Butler and Marian College in the 70”s , performed with the Cincinnati Opera Company and the Indianapolis Opera Company as well as many other events. Currently, I teach at St. Joan of Arc, St. Thomas Aquinas, and Meridian Music.

Outside of Music, cooking is my other passion. I love to develop recipes as well as cook specialty foods. I am currently editing my Mother’s Cookbook in hopes of publishing it.
